Apolitikia the party

When you come to earth in glory, O Lord,
when the universe will shake and a river of fire drag
all before your court, and when you open
books will be made public and hidden things;
then, or most just court, deliver me from the unquenchable fire
degnami and to sit at your right hand.

Apostle (I Cor 8.8-13 - 9.1 to 2 )

- my strength and my pride is the Lord, he
has become my salvation. (Ps. 117.14).
- Lord I tried so hard,
but I gave up to death. (Ps. 117.18).

reading from the first epistle of Paul to the Corinthians.

Brothers, will not be a food to get closer to God, or, if you do not eat,
we fail in something, we eat or a
advantage. Beware, however, that this freedom does not become a stumbling
for the weak. If a man sees you, you have the science to be a feast in a temple
of idols, the conscience of this man is not weak it may be pushed to
eat meat sacrificed to idols? And here, to your knowledge, will certainly fall on weak
a brother for whom Christ died! Sin so against the brethren and wounding
their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if a food
my downfall brother, never eat more meat, not to give
scandal to my brother. Are not I free? I am not an apostle? Not
have seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? Even
if for no other apostle, for you are the least, you are the
seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

Alleluia (3 times).
- you listen to the Lord on the day of
test, you protect the name of the God of Jacob (Ps. 19:2).
Alleluia (3 times).
- Save, O Lord thy people and bless
your legacy. (Ps. 27, 9).
Alleluia (3 times).

Gospel (Mt. 25, 31-46)

Jesus said to His disciples: When the Son of Man comes in his glory
with all his angels, he will sit on the throne of his glory. Will be gathered
before him all the nations, and he shall separate them one from another as a shepherd
separates the sheep from the goats, and will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his
left. Then the King will say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of
my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was
thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and I
you clothed, ill and you visited me in prison and you came to me.
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we have seen hungry
and give you something to eat, or thirsty and gave thee drink?
When did we see you a stranger and you we welcome, lacking clothes and you have
dress? And when did we see you sick or in prison and go to
visit you? Answering the King will say to them: Verily I say unto you: Whenever you did
these things for one of these my brethren, you did it to me. Then
will say to those on his left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and I do not
you fed, I was thirsty and you gave me drink: I was a stranger
and I do not you welcome, lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and in prison
and you visited me. Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when
did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger, or sick or in prison and
not minister unto thee? Then he will answer: In truth I tell you: Whenever
you did it to one of these my brethren, you did not
did to me. And they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

Sunday, February 20, 2011 - Prodigal Son Del

February 20, 2011 - Sunday XVII of Luke: the Prodigal Son.
San Leone, bishop of Catania. Tone VI
Tone VI
The angelic powers were at Your tomb
and custodians
they were stunned.

Mary stayed at the tomb in search of your
immaculate body. You pre-
as hell, you were not
its prey;
meeting you went to the Virgin bestowing the
life. O Lord, risen from the dead
, glory to you.
Kondakion

I foolishly left the splendor of his father and I
dissipated by the vices
what you gave me, so I offer to you
the voice of the prodigal: I
sinned before you,
merciful Father, accept me

repented and treat me like one of your servants.
Apostolos (1 Cor. 6, 12-20)
reading from the letter of Paul to the Corinthians.
Brothers, "All I may." But not everything it should.
"All I may." But I will not be dominated by
nothing. "The food is
for the stomach and the stomach for food". But God will destroy
this and that and the body is not for immorality,
but for the Lord and the Lord is
for the body. And God, who raised the
Lord will raise us also with his
power. Do not know
that your bodies are members of Christ?
then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute
? Let it never be! Do you not know that
who joins himself to a prostitute becomes one body with
it? The two are, it is said,
one body. But he who unites himself to the Lord
form with him a spirit. Flee
prostitution.
Any sin man commits is outside his body, but you
the immoral man sins against his own body
. Know ye not that your body is
temple of the Holy Spirit in you and that
you have from God, and not your
same? For you
were bought with a price.
therefore glorify God in your body.

GOSPEL (Lk 15, 11-32)
Jesus told this parable: "A man had two sons
. The younger one said to the Father:
Father, give me the share of property that I
it, and he divided his property between them.
few days later, the younger son gathered his things
,
left for a distant country and there squandered his money on loose living.
when he had spent it all, that country
a severe famine, and he began to feel the pinch
.
So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that
region, which sent him into his fields to feed pigs
. He would gladly have fed with the pods that the swine ate
, but no one gave him
. Then he came to himself and said
How many employees in my father's house
have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!
I will arise and go to my father and say: Father,
I have sinned against heaven and against you;
am no longer worthy to be called your son
. Treat me like one of your hired men.
departed and went to his father. When he was still far
his father saw him and moved
ran, and fell his neck and kissed him.
The son said: Father,
I have sinned against heaven and against you;
am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants
: Quickly, bring out the dress more beautiful
and put it on, Put the ring on his finger and sandals on his feet
. Bring the fattened calf and kill it, eat and do
party
this because my son was dead and has come
in life, he was lost and is found. And
began to celebrate. The elder son was
fields. Come back when it was near
house, he heard music and dancing
called a servant and asked him What this might mean.
The servant said: Your brother has come and
father has killed the fatted calf,
because it was safe and sound. He was angry,
and refused to go. The father then went out to beg
. But he said to his father
Behold, I served you for many years and I never
disobeyed your command, and you did not
never given a young goat to celebrate with my
friends. But now that this son of yours has
devoured your property with prostitutes,
for him you slaughter the fattened calf. The
said the father, son, you are always with me
and all that is mine is yours, but now we must celebrate and rejoice
because your brother
was dead and is alive again; he was lost and
is found ".

APHORISMS IN THE CHURCH OF THE POPES - I
remember that the church of the Popes and the Papal States, commonly known as the Vatican State includes almost the entire sub-triangular area commonly referred to as the Vatican Hill or Mount (Ager Vaticanus or Campus). It rises in a place that according to Pliny the Elder in Rome contributed to give the sad and famous name of "voratrix hominum" and where close to the Vatican hill is a valley: the "Valley of Hell."

5. The cult of the personality of Pope " The Vicar of Jesus Christ, the successor of Peter, is something intermediate between God and man, not God's great, but greater than man. The Roman Church, which I married, I brought a gift: I have received from Rome's miter, a sign of my religious function, and the tiara, which gives me dominion over the earth. I am asked by God above the peoples and kingdoms. Nothing that happens in the universe must escape the attention and power of the sovereign pontiff. God as creator of all things in the firmament of heaven two candles, one more to lighten the day, and night lights of a minor, so in the firmament of the universal Church, which is called Heaven, put two great dignity, the more that, almost as in the days, presided over the souls and the child who, almost like the night, presided over the bodies, and these have dignity: the pontifical authority and direction. And certainly, as The moon receives light from the sun, being less than the same quantity, quality, by location, as a result, so the royal authority comes from the splendor of its dignity papal authority. 5.2 "At the heart of the Church (Roman Catholic), contrary to the Gospel states, still lacking the figure of Jesus is the central place occupied by the clergy: the pope, bishops and priests, each with their respective areas of the ecclesial realm. The cross of Jesus was not worse than its execution to death. Without doubt, would have been much more tragic and painful cross of a clergy that has the effrontery to present himself as a follower of his work and its broker facing humanity. "

7.1 The "Catholic "The Italians and their Church papist : " We therefore with the Church and the priests with the Italians that first obligation: to have become without religion and bad, but we still have a major, which is the second cause of our ruin: this is the Church has held and holds this divided province. 7.3 " The Church ... with the impetus given by the Pope of Catholic Action, not enough just to create the priests: it seeks to permeate the state and are required for this action of the laity, requires a concentration of Catholic culture represented by the laity. There are many young people can become more valuable auxiliary of the Church as university professors and as cardinal, and so on. Patriarch: relations with the Catholic Church today

Patriarch Cyril opened the Bishops' Council February 2, 2011, with a intervention on relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations.
The Patriarchate of Moscow - said among other things - participating in the work of the Joint Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church, which is one of the thorniest issues facing the Orthodox-Catholic relations: the role of the bishop of Rome. "During the meetings, the delegation of the Russian Church on this issue is a firm and coherent to Orthodox thought on the matter. The plenary sessions of the Commission in 2009 in Cyprus and the following year in Vienna, however, have shown that the debate will not be resolved easily or quickly. "
"However, in addition to the issues that divide us, there are many issues on which we have the same line: secularization, the negative aspects of globalization, questions of ethics and moral economy, the crisis of family values and the subversion of traditional moral standards. On these points we have the prospects of cooperation in international organizations like the UN, UNESCO and the OSCE, particularly with regard to discrimination against Christians. "
Patriarch recalled the solidarity of the Russian Orthodox Church with Italian Catholics at the decision of the European Court of Human Rights in November 2009, which banned the display of crucifixes in schools. The Patriarch said: "It 'was a direct attack on the Christian tradition throughout Europe" and said that the support of the Russian government call delivered from Italy to the Strasbourg court against the decision.
"In addition, bilateral relations with the governing bodies of the Roman Catholic Church, we continue to treat the sensitive issue of the Western Ukraine, where between the late eighties and early nineties the greek-Catholics have private the strength of their Orthodox churches, leaving them still with restricted rights. This issue has yet to be resolved and calls for concrete and practical steps on the part of Catholics, "said the Patriarch.
also continues the work of the Joint Committee established in 2004 to analyze the problems of relations in Russia between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church. Patriarch Cyril pointed out that the key issues addressed are: who is the missionary activity of the Catholic Church in Russia and the spiritual formation of children baptized in the Orthodox Church, now housed in the Catholic charitable institutions.
The Patriarch said that the need for the advice of the Working Group are translated into life.
